was born in Hamburg, Germany. After her education at Akademie des Tanzes in Mannheim and by Gisèle Santoro in Brasil she developped her own style and refined it in further training with Galina Basowa, Christian Foie, Alain Astié, Moshe Romano and Micha Bergese.

For many years she was assistant to the frensh star dancer Philippe Dahlmann during international workshops, and she's the only authorized teacher of his modern dance style.

After first solo programs she formed the duo “Mondlicht” (moonlight) with the guitarist Christian Schimanski. Subsequently she went on tour with the compagnie of Gisèle Santoro in Brasil and appeared with the ensemble “Danza Fuego” (flamenco and classic ballet) all over europe.

Besides her own solo programs Claudia-Maria Winkler has choreographed a number of grand ballets.

Together with her husband, baritone Matthias Wagner, she performs programs with different casts, and teaches classical and modern ballet at Jugendmusikschule in Östringen and in her own school in Baden-Baden..

2007 and 2008 education as qigong- und tai-chi-teacher with Bernhard Maier at Centre Qigong in Karlsruhe.
